Pedro Feliz signed with the Kansas City Royals Today
After 4 seasons of 20 home runs and 80 RBI's as a Giant, he signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies and won a World Series ring. It was the second ex-Giant to get a ring after A.J. Pierzynski won one with the White Sox after we released him the previous season. However, after a two year stint with the Phillies, Feliz' numbers forced him out of the lineup in Philly and sent him to Houston. Houston then traded him to St. Louis at the trade deadline in 2010. Now he has signed a minor league deal with an invitation to Spring training with the Kansas City Royals. He would make $800K if he makes the team out of Spring training. Just 4 years ago, Feliz was a potential gold glove third baseman with 20 home run/80 RBI potential. Now, he is hoping to earn a spot on the worst American League team in baseball.
